One of the greatest responsibilities Allah has placed upon parents is nurturing love for the Qur’an in the hearts of their children. The Qur’an is not only a book to be memorized, but a guide to be lived.
Allah says:
“Indeed, this Qur’an guides to that which is most upright.”
— Surah Al-Isra 17:9
Children connect emotionally before they understand responsibility. Introduce the Qur’an as a source of comfort, beauty, and blessing, not as a burden.
A child who sees love will naturally follow.
Consistency is more important than long sessions.
These small moments build lifelong attachment
Even young children can understand simple meanings.
Understanding creates emotional connection.
Harshness pushes children away. The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Gentleness is not found in anything except that it beautifies it.”
— Sahih Muslim
Encourage progress, praise effort, and avoid comparison.

Teaching the Qur’an is a long journey. Success is not measured by speed, but by sincerity and consistency. Make du‘a regularly that Allah places love for His Book in your children’s hearts.
